Root canals
There is a network of blood vessels and nerves within our teeth, called the pulp.
Tooth damage resulting from injuries or cavities can end up infecting the pulp.
This results in swelling and pain.
Dr. Sharma can take care of this condition by performing a procedure called the root
canal. She will apply a strong local anesthetic in the beginning to save you from
unnecessary discomfort. The damaged pulp is removed and the tooth is cleaned. The
tooth is prepared for a filling, and the inside of the tooth is disinfected. The tooth is
then repaired with a filling or crown.
